Biotherm : New Solar Protection That Respects The Aquatic Environment

In 2017, Biotherm launched its Waterlovers sun care range. 7 years of research, con-ducted by a team of 20 L’Oréal scientists, resulted in a formula base with a 96% biodegradable, in which organic filters have been included to protect the skin effectively from the sun, with a reduced impact on water. In particular, L’Oréal’s teams conducted more than 200 tests in different aquatic environments simulated in a laboratory (fresh water and salt water). Overall, this product’s environmental footprint has been reduced by 80% compared to the average of the sun care product category.
