L’Oréal Professionnel Tackles Musculoskeletal Disorders
MSD represent 75% of occupational injuries suffered by hairdressers.
In conjunction with The Bone and Joint Decade, a global alliance of doctors and researchers, the brand has introduced an ambitious program to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), commonly referred to as Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI), which represent 75% of occupational injuries suffered by hairdressers. L’Oréal Professionnel has developed tailored training programs that include three sets of five-minute exercises hairdressers can use daily to prevent such problems, along with posters to encourage good practices in salons. More than 330,000 hairdressers had already benefited from these programmes by the end of 2018.
