Gunawirra is a dreaming word meaning the invisible seed of all creation.

Gunawirra is a not-for-profit organisation based on Wangal Country in Sydney, committed to empowering aboriginal and Torres Strait islander children, families and communities, to reach their full potential. The community-led organisation’s programs are focused on building capacity and confidence towards healing, resilience, and self-reliance. L’Oréal Australia & New Zealand has been a proud partner of Gunawirra for the past year. 

We are delighted to let you know that Gunawirra’s exceptional community work has been recognised at a global level, and the organisation has recently been awarded €50,000 through the L’Oréal Fund for Women. This mindful funding is aligned to L’Oréal for the Future, and was established to create awareness, and help address the social crisis for women.
