Citizen Day Benelux
We are l'Oréal
For over 10 years, L'Oréal has organized an annual Citizen Day to demonstrate its commitment to social responsibility. On this day, the group encourages its employees throughout the world to offer their skills and energy during their working hours to local associations active in the social and environmental field.
Each year, nearly 30,000 employee volunteers take part in the various solidarity activities offered during Citizen Day. Created in 2010, this annual day of civic action has enabled employees in nearly 65 countries to offer more than one million hours of cumulative time to hundreds of associations and their beneficiaries.
"Trying to have a positive impact on people in need is a source of pride for all employees around the world," says Alexandra Palt, Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer and CEO of the L'Oréal Foundation. "L'Oréal believes it has a responsibility to provide its employees with ways to act and make concrete contributions, because every gesture counts in the light of today's social and environmental needs."
Each year, more and more employees in the Benelux countries get involved in this day of solidarity action, enabling them to work in the areas of disability, the environment, intergenerational sharing, and the fight against exclusion.
