The Climate Solutions Festival brought together hundreds of innovators, investors and renowned speakers at the Port of Montreal's Grand Quai from May 23 to 24, 2023.
At the agenda: two days of panels, keynote speakers and more than 20 booths representing leading organizations in cleantech, research, business and environmental management.
L'Oréal Canada's Chief of Sustainable Development, Maya Colombani, was invited to join the "Corporates in Action" panel at Montreal's first-ever festival dedicated to climate solutions.
Alongside Anne-Marie Gaudet from WSP, Mari Brossard from Sagard, Carl Blanchet from Cascades, and Patrick Gagné our partner for the circular economy Cycle Capital, it was a great way to connect with people and share our actions, but also to contribute to solve our society's biggest challenges: climate, inclusion, and empowerment women in our society.
As a leader in the beauty industry, at L'Oréal Canada we have a responsibility to contribute to society, and in Canada we already use 100% renewable energy at all our sites. We already have 97% eco-design products, and we engage all of our ecosystems, suppliers, retailers and consumers, developing climate change innovations to go further.
We are deeply convinced that with leadership comes a responsibility to contribute to our society: technology for good and strengthening the place of women in society can play a key role, as Maya Colombani and inspirational leader Danièle Henkel mentioned at the Festival.
*Please note: L'Oréal is contributing 50 millions euros to a fund with local circular economy partner Cycle capital.
