L’Oréal Canada holds its 21st edition of Brandstorm!
March was a busy month with the Canadian finals of L’Oréal’s legendary business game, Brandstorm, taking place at the L’Oréal Canada headquarters in Montreal.
Augmented beauty is increasingly allowing L’Oréal to create unique relationships with consumers, so it was fitting for this year’s Brandstorm edition to challenge students from more than 29 programs to push the limits of today’s beauty.
A total of 116 teams dared to “Crack the new codes of beauty” by inventing products, services and experiences powered by new technologies like Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Gaming, Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse.
The top 10 teams presented to a jury composed of L’Oréal Canada’s President and CEO An Verhulst-Santos, Modiface CEO Jeff Houghton, Publicis Executive President for Quebec Mathieu Roy, and L’Oréal Canada’s own: Stéphane Bérubé, President of the Consumer Products Division, Sonia Kovacic, Brand Director, Solenne Lafeytaud, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Simon Leblanc, Chief Information Officer.
Congratulations to team IDR from The University of British Colombia who disrupted with their fragrance gaming experience and took first place in the regional level of the competition.
Stay tuned to see if the Canadian champions will make it through the semi-finals to the grand final in Paris in June 2023, where they could win a three-months Intrapreneurship at the global head office in Paris. This brilliant team has already signed on for an internship at L’Oréal Canada.
