L'Oréal Canada Inspires the Next Generation of Scientists on the Women and Girls in Science Day

At L'Oréal, we firmly believe that science is at the heart of beauty. That's why we were delighted to participate in the 8th edition of Women and Girls in Science Day, held on Saturday, February 15th at the Science Centre. This inspiring event aims to encourage young girls to explore exciting careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Our Scientific Affairs teams and our Montreal plant hosted an interactive kiosk, offering young participants a captivating glimpse into the essential role of science at L'Oréal.

Catherine and Maya, from the Scientific Affairs team, shared their expertise by explaining the rigorous process of testing and validations that each L'Oréal product must pass before arriving on the market. They demonstrated how science ensures the effectiveness and safety of our products for consumers.

For their part, Kenza and Margaux, from our Montreal plant, offered a practical and fun demonstration on the science of hair coloring. The young girls were able to discover the secrets of color formulation and the technical aspects involved in the manufacture of our products.

The enthusiasm and passion of our scientific ambassadors sparked great interest among the young participants, opening their eyes to the diversity of career opportunities in science and engineering at L'Oréal.

At L'Oréal, we are committed to promoting science and encouraging young women to pursue their dreams in the STEM fields. We are proud to have participated in Women and Girls in Science Day and to have helped inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators.
