General Counsel L’Oréal Switzerland
A graduate of the Law School of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), with a post-graduate degree from the New York University School of Law and a bar exam, Frédéric Beyeler joined L'Oréal in 2012 as General Counsel, a newly created position within the Swiss subsidiary.
With a rich and varied experience acquired at two local law firms and then as a Manager at the audit and consulting firm Deloitte, he dedicated his activity to the fast-changing cosmetics market in Switzerland, in connection with the EEA, and became a specialist in distribution and competition law.
In 2016, he joins the Management Committee of L'Oréal Switzerland and takes over the mission of Ethics Correspondent of the subsidiary, which he continues to develop in order to promote ethical principles within the management, the different business lines and divisions.
In 2018, he leads the personal data protection compliance project with the support of the Privacy Champions, Internal Control and Digital teams; one year later, while continuing his activities as Country General Counsel and Ethics, he sets up the L'Oréal Switzerland Data Protection Committee, in which the Legal, HR, Digital and IT Security functions participate to ensure good governance.
