Refills offer more than just convenience—they offer a meaningful step toward sustainability. By making it easier for consumers to reuse beautifully designed packaging, we’re helping people reduce plastic use, improve the product’s environmental impact, and rethink the way beauty products fit into daily life. In 2024, we significantly expanded our refillable product lines  marking a real transformation in how consumers experience and engage with beauty.

Across Brands, Across Divisions

L'Oréal offers refills across a growing range of categories—skincare, haircare, fragrance, and more. From luxury brands like Lancôme and Kiehl's to skincare innovators like La Roche-Posay (the first widely produced skincare brand to develop refills), refills are becoming increasingly accessible. Some brands, like Mugler with its iconic 1992 Mugler Fountain, were even founded on the concept of refillable beauty. Together, these brands set a new standard for packaging innovation and environmental responsibility. Here are a few key milestones and exciting future developments in our refillable program:

Kiehl’s now produces refill pouches in-house at our Piscataway, NJ manufacturing facility, reducing plastic by up to 81%.
La Roche-Posay continues to lead in the mass market with its pioneering refillable pouches.
Kérastase led 2024 performance in the Professional Products Division, making refillable hair serums and oils.
CeraVe just debuted its Hydrating Facial Cleanser refill .

In our Luxe division, refillable skincare increasingly represents more our  top offerings, with refill options available for many best-selling items.
